Choice: Your choice will be respected. You will usually be provided some formula at the hospital but will be obliged to buy it after that. Formula is expensive and the benefits are not as great as breast milk. If you are undecided, ask about breast feeding support at the hospital. Breast feeding helps your baby stay healthier and will help you bond with your baby.

It depends: Your decision to breastfed is yours to make. Formula is available at many hospitals. However there are a rising number of hospitals that no longer accept formula donations from formula companies. When making arrangements for your delivery, find out what the hospital policies are re infant feeding choices.

Not forced: If you choose not to breast feed the hospital usually supplies formula while you are inpt. It is absolutely the best thing you can do for your baby's health and has significant health benefits for you as well so perhaps you should reconsider breast feeding.
