No way: to identify the pill by its color. Call the hospital or your doc and find out what they gave you, and ask them if it is ok to breastfeed.

Pyridium/phenazopyri: The pill for UTI pain is probably red in color.It is not known if it is excreted in breast milk.I suggest you ask the prescribing doctor or pharmacist if you should take it if you are breast feeding
