Right hand pain: There are situations where veins can become painful, but often when people say their veins hurt it is actually from some other condition. So best to get it checked out. Good luck.

Veins can: Get injured just like any other structure. Sometimes a thrombus or clot forms on a small vien that can be quite painful. It typically resolves without issue, but one day or less of subtle discomfort usually does not meet the criteria for activating the "sign of something" line of reasoning. "normal"? Well normal may mean that sometimes things dont quite feel "the same" all the time.

Painful hand veins.: Hand veins can swell for many reasons but the most common is certainly hereditary . Other factors would be level of hydration, aging, sun exposure and loss of elasticity. I doubt at age 35 that aging is a factor for you. Pain is not a common symptom for hand veins. The pain may be due to something else besides the vein. See a hand specialist.
