Get properly tested : Is testing supports diagnosis then consider a trial of medications such as adderall, Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) or stretera for a 6-8 week period to evaluate for efficacy.

Psychiatric consult: Adhd is a clinical medical illness, and as such, there are no tests or testing that can diagnose this condition. You need a thorough evaluation by a psychiatrist who is familiar with adhd. In my practice, this consists of a face to face evaluation that includes a family history, medical history, social history, review of symptoms, other medical conditions, and evaluation of all symptoms.
