Yes you can...: If you understand what is an abscess and the cause of it, you definitely can drain them. Look up on the internet for these information. However, draining an abscess only served to treat the symptom (pain), not the cause. You must seek professional diagnosis and treatment to treat the cause and keep the abscess from prolonged.

That would not be -: Advisable, as without proper training and knowledge; & without sterile equipment/bandages you might be unsuccessful in getting rid of it. You'll need prescription meds as well. Its very easy to get re-infected, without proper care. To quickly get rid of your problem, seek medical attention.
