No: Lattice degeneration is a degeneration; that is, the tissue fades away without any known cause. It is much more common in near-sighted people. It turns out that lasik is also commonly performed in near-sighted people.

No: Lasik does not cause lattice retinal degeneration. Lattice is often found in myopic individuals, just the ones who also want to have lasik surgery done.

No: LASIK treats the outside of the eye. Lattice degneration is in the peripheral portion of the retina and is totally unrelated. It comes from retinal stretching during development and growth - not from LASIK.
