Can lasik cause cornea ulcers?

No: If the flap is made by a blade there is a small chance of having a corneal abrasion. Corneal ulcers may come from untreated dry eyes or contact lens over wear.

Rarely: It is possible to get an infection in the cornea as a result of lasik surgery. It is a very rare event however. Great care is taken to prevent this from happening with the use of antibiotic drops and antiseptic surgical technique.
