My 78 year old relative had a CT of the abdomen and pelvis. A unrelated finding was a report of fibroids on her uterus. This was a suprise as she had a hysterectomy 45 years ago. Pelvic ultrasound confirmed no uterus but identified some type of mass.
Went to ER 3 months post hysterectomy with abdominal pain. Ultrasound revealed several fluid filled bowel loops in pelvis as well as several peripheral lined follicles on both ovaries, suspicious of polycystic ovaries. Are fluid filled loops normal?
