Healthy exercise: Exercise that exceeds 90 minutes releases free radicals and should not done daily. Workouts of 40 minutes in your target range are optimal. Do weight training three times a week and fatigue muscles in every set you do and you will likely add muscle mass.

Good for you: Exercise is always good for you. Excess? I do not know what that is. And making muscles stronger is great also. There is no need to downsize on exercise as long as you are highly motivated. Check with your doc that there are no heart risk factors that may cause heart disease - to be safe.
