Diagnosis/Neurology: Have your doctor refer you to a neurologist for a diagnostic workup of your facial spasms. I agree with your doctor that it would be unusual for a brain tumor to cause lip and cheek spasms on opposite sides of the face, but it appears you still need to find out what is causing these spasms. Hope this helps.
