A member asked:

I'm 16, girl, i'm 4'11, mom is 5'2 , dad 5'4. will i growtaller even by an inch or2 , ihad hypothyroidism at12 but didn't start taking meds until 7mth ago?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: The predicted genetic height of a female is the average of the parent height less 2.5 inches. For you this is 62+64=126 divides by 2= 63+2.5 = 60.5 inches. The hypothyroidism may have delayed your bone maturity giving you a little more time to grow, so you can get your inch or so.An x-ray of your hand could be assessed for bone maturity and see how much longer you have to grow taller.
