Yes but: You can play sports but watch the time of day you play so as to not interfere with your sleep program and also don't expect great sports performances while sleep is restricted.

Sports are great: Incorporating sports into your sleep program is great but try to avoid significnat physical exertion from sports within 2-4 hours of planned sleep. Often it helps to use exercise during times of day when you would be most tired and likely to fall asleep unintensionally.
