xray: There are some physical findings in various degrees in a patient who has scoliosis and this includes an asymmetry of the shoulders, an obliquity of their pelvis and a "rib hump" (asymmetric trunk rotation) on forward bending. The most definitive test is an xray. Scoliosis is defined as a curve of the spine in the coronal plane of greater than 10 degrees, and this can be readily seen on an xray.
