A member asked:

What exactly does eating one meal a day do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Confuses body: The human body is actually designed to eat small amounts frequently - that gives the best control of natural hormones and blood sugar. When you eat only once a day, the body thinks you don't have access to food and fears starvation. So it starts making hormones to lay down layers of fat to make sure it has enough calories if food source is cut off. You are actually making your body make more fat!
