One meal a day: is not enough. Eat at least twice a day - spread out food that is good for you. Egg white is superior to all for protein. Quinoa is excellent. Beans and lentils are excellent. Milk protein is excellent. Whole grains are good. Nuts are excellent. Yogurt is excellent. Have whole fruit and whole vegetables every day.

Not likely: For some persons, they may do OK, as there are always outliers but realistically this places you at risk for poor eating habits which could predispose you to malnutrition and there are small studies that suggest it might predispose you to higher blood pressure, impaired blood sugar control and a weaker immune system. But again, every person is different and some may do OK with this strategy.
