Scars don't vanish..: They are the result of healing and are permanent. They do, however, mature, i.e. With time. There are some treatments and procedures that may hasten their maturation and make their appearance less objectionable. A plastic surgeon or dermatologist is a good place to get information.

Can't "vanish": Several options are available for scar reduction: silicone gel silicone sheeting mederma kelo-cote scar massage tape a study in the journal of plastic and reconstructive surgery several years ago compared these and found that although none showed statistical significance for scar reduction, the one that had the best overall response was silicone sheeting. That is what I use in my practice.

IMPROVE not remove: There are many options to improve scars discussed here but it is genrally impossible to remove a scar unless you replace it with another. Options depend on the problem: raised? Red? Wide? Depressed? Pigmented? Irregular?

Scars don't vanish: There is no way to make a scar vanish, but there are multiple ways to make scars appear less noticeable with plastic surgery.
