How to take care of g tube scar revision after plastic surgery

Follow instructions : The plastic surgeon performing the procedure should provide you with his-her specific recommendations which may be to apply tape for 3-4 months, or silicone gel sheeting, avoiding sun exposure and tobacco use as well as excessive wound tension. A healthy diet supplemented with protein and multitivitamins.

C Instructions.: You will find that every plastic surgeon has a different “protocol” when it comes to incision line care. Many plastic surgeons will use surgical tape and/ or silicone gel-based products. Others may have different protocols. Best to follow your own plastic surgeon's regimen given that he/she is ultimately responsible for your care. Best wishes.

Talk to the doc: You have a relationship with the surgeon who did your procedure, best to check with them. Different docs have different protocols and there is not one right answer.
