You only have part: Of the workup done. Normal labs indicate your liver is ok among other things. The ultrasound shows you have normal anatomy and no stones or polyps. However not everything is always seen on the us. The hida scan shows the function of the gall bladder. If you have a chronic problem the hida scan will usually show it.

Diagnostic tests : Are helpful only when they are positive. If you have typical gallbladder symptoms, it could still be the problem. If all studies are negative, consult a GI specialist.

Hida can be abnormal: Ultrasound of gall bladder can be normal and still have biliary dyskinesi. The nuclear medicine nuclear scan relates how well gall bladder is functioning and how well it contracts. .The scan also demonstrate relative function of liver and abnormalities in common bile duct. In adults most clinicians use above 35% as normal gb ejection value. Hida scan more sensitive for gall bladder disease.
