Tonsillitis voice: There are many possibilities here. The first and most likely is that the infection that has settled on the tonsils has also affected the vocal folds. I'm which case, when the infection improves, so will the voice next you could have drainage from the tonsils that could be inflaming of affecting the folds and not infecting them per se, mucous or exudate from the infection. All is self limited.
