Get ultrasound: Go to er or vein specialist( www.Phlebology.Org) immediately for venous scan of your leg to rule out dvt. Prolonged sitting with car or airline travel can precipitate blood clots, especially the 25% of the population walking around with inherited vein disease that don't know they have it. We always recommend medical compression stockings or socks for travel, even after your tests.

Need venous sonogram: Your symptoms suggest a possible DVT especially with a recent medical procedure in conjunction with a relatively long travel time. You need to rule out the most dangerous potential problem and that is a dvt. You should either go to the er or see a vein specialist today.
