A member asked:

I have mild calf pain in both legs that comes and goes. it gets worse when lying down and feels best after working out. should i worry about dvt?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: While not typical DVT can present with symptoms of venous hypertension. In addition to DVT, venous hypertension can be associated with varicose vein disease. Many patients with venous hypertension will complain of a dull, vague ache of the legs that improves with exercise but is particularly bothersome in the evening when lying down. Consult with a board certified vascular surgeon.
