BV not an STD: Your partner is not causing your bacterial vaginosis, it is not sexually transmitted., it is an overgrowth of a normal vaginal bacteris. Some women get recurrent bv. Make sure you are seen, evaluated and treated by a gyn. Then make sure you wear cotton, not nylon panties. Sometimes we treat women, and then have them use metrgel once weekly to prevent recurrence.
