Had bacterial vaginosis, but it went away a few weeks ago with medication. i now think i have it again, shall i go to the doctors? or purchase bv gel?

Not very effective: Recurrent BV is very common. Unfortunately, vaginal metronidazole (BV Gel, Metrogel, etc) rarely works. If that's what you were treated with last time, it may be why the problem came back. You should contact your doctor, who probably will want to examine you to confirm the diagnosis. Ask about treatment with metronidazole by mouth. Also have STD testing if not yet done. BV can be a sign of STD.
