Swelling : An operation is a traumatic event. Controlled, but traumatic. The body responds to injury by swelling, and abdominal surgery can affect the whole body even though the actual injury is only in the abdomen. Therefore, all organs if the body can "swell", and that retained fluid can increase you weight. It should better within the next week it so. If you think something is wrong, call your surgeon!
