Post surgery: there are always post-surgical issues such as scarring, some cramping, perhaps constipation after abdominal surgery after a few weeks also in a woman the loss of the uterus can have an impact on how she feels about herself so take all this into consideration also if she has friends who had the same surgery it would be helpful for her to talk with them - far more than talking to her child!

Side effects: she may need hormone replacement therapy as well as calcium and Vitamin D suppementation. Advise GYN evaluation.
