Brushing : Brushing will remove plaque. Xylitol gum or mints can decrease the amount of plaque that is formed by decreasing the number of bad bacteria in your mouth. Certain foods such as crackers and breads can increase plaque. Antacids such as Tums (calcium carbonate) can stick to teeth and cause more plaque build up. Keep on brushing.

See your dentist: Your dentist or hygienist will need to thoroughly clean your teeth and then train you in excellent oral hygiene techniques.
