Personal preference: There are different types of floss... waxed or unwaxed, thin or tape, even really thick floss for periodontal spaces. Someone's mouth can have different needs between different teeth, so you may need more than one type to get the job done correctly. Experiment a bit and have your periodontist or their hygienist guide you.

Dental Floss: There are different types of dental floss - waxed, unwaxed, flat, thin,..There's also what you call floss threaders which are effective for patients with crown and bridge. There's also a kind of floss which is easier to use (with a sling handle) for the ones with arthritis. Flat unwaxed is effective for plaque and thin for really tight contacts. There's also flavored ones.Technique of use is impt.!

Right dental floss: The most important point to remember is that the best floss for you is the floss that you will use every single day. Regardless if it's an electric flosser or one of the many types of standard floss.
