See a periodontist: If you have just started flossing good for you! but, if it continues to bleed then you may be flossing incorrectly and tearing the gums or there may be deposits under the gums so when you floss the deposits may be irritating the gums causing bleeding the periodontist will remove the deposits under your gums if present and review proper flossing.

If it continues: If it continues, see a dentist. You could need some treatment, to get your gums in shape.

May or may not: It the gums are only slightly irritated and you are flossing properly, the gums should stop bleeding within 1-2 weeks. If it continues to bleed, then either you are not flossing correctly or more likely, the problem cannot be corrected without some periodontal treatment by your dentist (general or periodontist). See what happens and call your dentist for an evaluation if it doesn't stop.
