Dental Evaluation: If your gums are bleeding virtually spontaneously, then they need immediate care. At a minimum you have gingivitis, but most probably periodontitis. Lack of treatment can result in the loss of your teeth. Please call a dentist for an appointment.

Periodontist: You should seek the help of a specialist. Spontaneous bleeding is the sign of more serious problems which can be localized or a sign of more serious medical issues. A Periodontist should examin your mouth to determine the cause of the bleeding and recommend proper treatment. You can not do anything on your own without the help of a professional, Flossing and brushing not your first choice.

Spontaneous bleeding: Spontaneous bleeding is sign of advanced gum disease (advanced gingivitis or periodontitis), systemic disease (Diabetes, metallic poisoning, vitamin deficiency, etc), or blood dyscrasia (sickle cell, leukemia, etc.). Recommend that you see a gum/bone specialist, a Periodontist, for evaluation and either appropriate treatment or referral.
