A member asked:

My son has a constantly rattly chest, what could be wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Referred sound: Most rattly chests turn out to be buggery noses that send the vibrations they generate during breathing down to the chest wall like an amplifier. Avoidance of nasal irritants, fumes, smoke , etc helps as does liberal use of nasal saline wash.
