My 23month old son has tetralogy of fallot had surgery but now has pulmonary stenosis after the balloon procedure. his neck artery is constantly flickering and his chest is wheezy do i need to be worried and get him seen as soon as possible?

You are supposed to have a regular follow up with a physician anyway. If you have symptoms that concerns you means to call for earlier appointment especially with the wheezing you may need to go to urgent care for evaluation of your son.

There may be an impingement on the airways or reactivity of the airways as causes of the wheezing. He should be further evaluated by his Pediatrician. A trial of a bronchodilator called Xopenex may be discussed at the visit. Watch for sweating with mild exertion and shortness of breath. Please follow up with your Cardiologist soon.
