Start with consult: My recommendation would be to see an orthdodontist who treats patients with both conventional braces and invisalign. He\she can then discuss your treatment options and which method (or sometimes both) will be best for you particular circumstances. I do not recommend seeing a general dentist with limited experience using invisalign and no formal orthodontic training.

For Adults Invisalig: Generally for adults-invisalign. They are more comfortable, braces shred your lips and tongue. Nearly invisible and work faster. You do not have to change your diet, which is something that you have to do with braces there is a list of foods you can't eat. But invisalign can not fix everything. There are some bad bites that can only be treated with braces. Look into both.

Your choice: Traditional braces are cheaper, faster and more effective. So why do people choose invisalign? Aesthetics.

Maybe: The type of problem should dictate the treatment approach and appliance selection. Conventional braces have a wider range of therapeutic effect than invisalign, and therefore maybe indicated for your orthodontic needs. I would suggest you consult an orthodontist as to the appropriate recommendation.

It depends: Very complex cases are better treated with traditional braces. The pro's of invisalign is that you remove them to eat and perform hygiene. So, no restrictions on what you can eat and brushing and flossing are easy. The costs are going to vary depending on the level of difficulty(~$4000-5500). The same is true for traditional braces. Invisalign requires excellent patient cooperation.

Most pick invisalign: Most adults choose invisalign, because it looks better, is easier to clean, and there are no eating restrictions. On the other hand, it may cost more, and you must comply by wearing the aligners as prescribed.

Statistically: In the hands of qualified Orthodontists braces treatment reaches an average of over 90% correction to ABO standards, Clear Aligner treatment. Level of care in specialists practice of higher caliber than in generalists practice. AlignerMeter more esthetic. Braces more effective. AlignerMeter more expensive. Braces provide better post-treatment stability. Braces are still the gold standard.
