Purified, Esterified: Most omega 3 supplements come from fish oil, but fish has traces of heavy metals like mercury & pcb's, dioixins etc.Choose a fish oil purified via pharmaceutical-grade molecular distillation & esterified to make digestible. Ideally it's assayed by 3rd parties. Reliable brands include nordic naturals, designs for health& minami. Some feel krill & calamari oil are better than fish oil.

Where it came from? : I do not mean location. Small cold water fish: krill; sardine; anchovies- they contain virtually no heavy metals. Avoid oil from larger fish!
