No: There are about 7-8 marketed MRI contrasts in the us. The safest ones do not cause nsf. These are multihance, ProHance and eovist. None of these have been associated with nsf when used alone. Nsf is a skin condition which is extremely painful. It usually happens to people with poor renal function. So.. You should tell your doctor if you have poor kidney function.
