Is it true without the dye on an mri they will not be able to see a tumor?

Contrast dye: Without contrast dye, some issues especially vascular related problems can be less clear on MRI scans. If your doctor requested it, i would get the scan performed.

Possibly: Contrast will increase chance of detection but MRI unlike a ct will be more likely to detect without contrast.
