Periodontist: Go right to a specialist! even if your dentist says they can treat your problem, i believe a periodontist is best to handle your problem with the best outcome. The treatment plan will be thorough and proper. Don't delay, it's never too late.

Improving health: It's never too late to make changes, eliminate bad habits, establish good ones, and improve your health. See a physician to improve your overall medical health and a periodontist (and general dentist) to improve you dental health. The two are interrelated.

Periondontal disease: Periodontal infections set up a low to medium systemic infection process to lower your immune system. Periodontal disease can also cause infections in your heart which can become life threatening.
