I haven't been to the dentist in 6 years. i have dental disease. i don't know how bad it is. today is sept 5th. i couldn't get a dentist appointment until nov 1st. is this too long?

It's a long time, but there is no such thing as acute care/ER for dental disease. You can use this time to prevent your oral health from further deteriorating: Brush thoroughly twice a day (if you have an electric toothbrush, even better) Floss between teeth daily, and use a mild mouthwash to get to hard to reach places. You should see a difference in a couple of weeks. Not corrective, preventive!

Find a walk in dental office or a hospital dental clinic. Look on line for offices who treat dental emergencies. Try to maintain your oral health with brushing, flossing, and a diet of less sugary foods.
