Re-check important: If spots on your tongue haven't improved after 3 wks, let your gp know that - it may need to be seen by either an oral surgeon or dermatologist, depending on the character of the "spot". You didn't mention what these spots look like, but some conditions on the tongue are not abnormal, just atypical. A dentist can either tell you or have the specialist diagnose it, but do follow up with this.

Tongue spots: What was the "diagnosis"? And what symptoms were you having? Sometimes "spots" are just normal tongue papillae associated with taste which are misread as a "fungus". And orabase is not a treatment for anything, just a "band aid" for a "sore gum". Sounds like we need more information.
