How common is it for somebody to get toe swelling?

Toe swelling: Unfortunately, the causes of a digit swelling are numerous. From infectious to traumatic to orthopedic to metabolic.The cause of the swelling needs to be determined so that appropriate treatment plan can be implemented. Swelling of a toe is not uncommon, however.

Many causes: Some causes of toe swelling can include localized issues such as arthritis, infection, ingrown toe nails, trauma (fracture, sprain, and tendonitis, tight shoes) and side effects to medication. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
