A member asked:

Can gilbert's disease slow down metabolism of meds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No.: Gilbert's "disease" is a genetic anomaly in which there is a reduced ability to clear bilirubin from the body. This occasionally produces a visible excess of bilirubin in the body during times of increased bilirubin production. This does not affect the clearance of medications.
