Loss of conscious: Patients who are dying of brain tumors primary or metastatic will often lose consciousness in the last days or hours. This is usually a gradual change and patients that are in hospice care can be kept comfortable during this change.

Sleepiness: There are many ways a brain tumor patient may die, but commonly in the last stages the patients are progressively sleepier. They usually report little or no pain.
