Not usually: Headaches from brain tumors can come and go, but they usually are not of very short duration. They certainly can occur at any time of day, although with some tumors they are often worst at the time of waking up from sleep. At any rate tumors in 13 year olds are quite rare. Ask to see your doctor to satisfy your questions about your headaches.

Other Symptoms?: You are very young. Tumor is less likely. Some brain tumors can cause severe headaches (HA). If the tumor is small and not pressing on sensitive or vital areas of the brain, depending on the tumor type, if benign or cancerous, it can be present for a very long time and undiagnosed. Symptoms of different tumor types vary and it is important to see a doctor.
