While brain: Tumor can have headache, it might not. I would have a doctor examine your child. Moe likely the child wakes and is afraid, wants to see you, and explains that his/her head hurts. What happens after the complaint? Up rest of the night? You sleep with/or bring to your bed? Check the serious, but do not panic.
