Nope: If you don't need dye (iv contrast) - no needle is needed. No labs are needed but most docs will ask for oral contrast (drink some nasty stuff) or IV contrast depending on what they're looking for. Whoever ordered the test can tell you. If you forget, the radiologist or his/her staff can tell you beforehand.
