A member asked:

52 year old, menopause 1 year, tennis ball size cyst on each ovary, ca 125 of 271. is this ovarian cancer?

Not necessarily: Ca 125 can go up with some benign conditions as well. This level is high enough to be suspicious, so this cyst should be removed. That is the only way to find out if it is all benign or could there be beginings of ovarian cancer. Right now we have to keep our fingers crossed but do not ignore this cyst.I would advise surgical removal and pathologic examination to be sure that we know what it is.

Don't know: The cysts are large, and your ca-125 is elevated, so a full-work-up is obviously indicated. X-ray studies may help, but biopsy/cyst drainage or even hysterectomy is certainly a possibility. You doctor can provide you with much more specific info than we can.
