Likely yes: The varicosities may be worsened, but manageable during and after the pregnancy. Control weight, use support stockings, follow your OB gyn advice. See a vascular surgeon for good evaluation now.

Pregnancy ok : Having varicose veins is not a contraindication to pregnancy however be aware that often varicosities worsen with pregnancy. Prevent excessive weight gain per your obs recommendations, try wearing compression stockings and stay active to keep that blood pumping. Good luck with your pregnancy!

Vericose veins will not interfear with your pregnancy, may get little worse due to gravid uterus, may get superficial phlebitis , but not like deep vein involvement , not dangerous , be active and wear elastic stocking . Yyou will be fine , good luck.

Yes: If every woman with varicose veins decided not to get pregnant there would be far fewer children in the world. As long as you are properly managed by your obstetrician you should be fine.

Yes, is OK: Varicose veins are usually not a problem at the young age of 24. If you do have they already, pregnancy could certainly make them worse but would not generally be a reason to avoid a desired pregnancy. If you become pregnant, you should be diligent with wearing good quality support hose or stockings and elevating your feet several times daily.

Sure its OK: Pregnancy may worsen your varicose veins but that can be helped with leg elevation and support stockings. However varicose veins are not a compelling reason to not get pregnant . If you have concerns about the varicose veins talk to your doctor or consult with a vein specialist. You have options such as treatment before or after pregnancy or just the aforementioned lifestyle modifications.

Will likely worsen: Pregnancy will increase the pressure on the veins and cause further dissension and could result in an increased risk of clotting. It may be wise to seek treatment first but i would not interfere with your family planning and if you decide to proceed you should at least wear medical grade compression stockings throughout pregnancy.

Yes, but...: Pregnancy does increase the pressure in the pelvic veins and increase the risk of developing or worsening varicose veins. It also increases the risk of developing blood clots for the same reason. Wear compression hose, walk frequently and avoid sitting for prolonged intervals with your legs down. Ideally, sit with your legs higher than your heart and rotate your pelvis to reduce pooling.

Yes: It is ok to get pregnant. Pregnancy may worsen your veins. At some point an eblation procedure may be needed. Symptoms of swelling, pain, itching, aching and restless all could be from your varicose veins. Compression stockings may help but this simple office based procedure may help. I ultrasound will help determine if this is needed.

It is OK: Varicose veins are due to leaking(refluxing) valves in the saphenous venous system which can be easily diagnosed by a venous reflux sonogram. It would be prudent for you to have this test because it will give you information about your veins. Most likely the veins will worsen with each pregnancy. Treating the problem is not an emergency and choosing when to fix it is debatable.

Yes: Your pregnancy might aggravate the situation by the enlarging uterus applying occlusive pressure on the viens in your abdomen, but you can mitigate this by wearing support hose and elevating your legs when possible. You should make your OB aware of this situation.

I would go a little : Further with the advise. If you want to slow down the progression of the condition you should be - day time - already in knee level compressive stocking. In last trimester please use maternity pantyhose. Watch your salt intake, your weight gain (up to 30 lb normal). And elevate the legs whenever just possible.
