Ankle sprain: "normal" healing of a sprained ankle, it depends on the severity of the sprain. If its a chronically sprained ankle with constant pain and instability, it will take longer than a mild outside sprain. Usually 3-4 weeks of rest, icing, antiinflammatory meds (like advil (ibuprofen) or motrin), bracing or compressing wraps, with or without physical therapy should be normal. Hope that helps!

Consider having an: X-ray and/or MRI to check for fracture. Or it may just be a severe sprain that needs longer time to heal. Otc Motrin and warm compress may help . Follow up with your dr. Take care !

Ankle sprain: Did you have an x-ray or mri? Need to make sure there is no fracture or grade 3 sprain where ligament is ruptured.
