Yes: If you are still having pain, then you should keep your full weight off the foot until you can do so with minimal pain. I'm not sure how you know it's just a sprain, but if you haven't had an xray and you still have the symptoms you describe, then I would suggest an xray. If things don't improve in a week, you need reevaluation. You could also consider a walking boot to help support the ankle.

Some tools: Stabilize with Ace bandage and/ or cowboy boots. Crutches are fine. Have your doctor monitor
