Orthopedic surgeon: A severe ankle sprain may take weeks to heal. If there were associated swelling and discoloration, torn ligament may have occurred. Since you're not improved after 12 days, I recommend an evaluation by an orthopedic surgeon.

Ankle injury: I would definitely have that foot evaluated by a physician. You could have sustained a fracture. Also, you may require a cast or boot to stabilize the ankle while it heals. Otherwise you may continue to injure an already injured ankle. Not being able to bear weight is concerning. If there is significant swelling I would seek help as soon as possible.
