My doctor is switching my insulin to u500 i currently take 7 injections a day from what there saying i can possibly knock it down to 3 is it abigswitc?

Don't know: Why you would need seven injections a day. Usually it's one before each of three meals and a basal Insulin like Lantus (insulin glargine) at bedtime. U-500 is usually used to give very high doses of Insulin in a smaller volume, since it's 5x concentrated. Make sure you're careful about the syringes as they are marked for u-100 not u-500 Insulin and you don't want to overdose. Check w/your doctor.
